The death has occurred of
Patrick Cooney
Patrick Cooney, Drumsivney, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. Friday February 27th, 2026, peacefully in the loving care of his family and staff at College View nursing home. Predeceased by his parents Ellen and Francis Cooney and his brothers James, Oliver and Philip, and his nephew Niall. Patrick will be sadly missed by his sister Teresa Keogh, Rock Cross, Cavan Town, brother-in-law Edmund, nieces Finola, Deirdre, Niamh and Niamh’s husband Jack, grandnieces Sadhbh, Iseult and Laoise, cousins, neighbours and many Friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill (H16 FD25) on Sunday evening from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock. Removal leaving Mullen’s Funeral Home on Monday Morning to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial following Mass in the family plot in Carrickallen Cemetery.
