Patrick E. O'Brien (Pat)

The family of the late Patrick E. O’Brien are heartbroken at the passing of Pat who was a devoted husband, extraordinary dad and besotted grandfather.

Patrick. E (Pat) O'Brien (Rathfarnham) 9th October 2025 in his 95th year, peacefully in Gascoigne Nursing Home, Rathmines. Loving husband to Margaret for 66 beautiful years, adored father to Karen, Graham, Nicola (Nicky) and Tracy, wonderful grandfather to Colm, Hugh, George, Enid, Keelin, Dillon, Daniel and Matthew and great-grandfather to Laura and Emma. Pat will be sadly missed by daughter-in-law Frances, sons-in-law John, Pearse and Noel, granddaughter-in-law Fiona, brother Denis, sister Betty, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Rest in Peace

Pat will repose in Fanagans Funeral Home, 5/6 Lower Main Street, Dundrum D14 F3X2, on Saturday (October 11th) from 2pm to 4pm. Funeral Mass will take place in The Assumption and Sts Columbanus and Gall Church, Milltown Road, Dublin D06NX24 at 11:00am on Monday (October 13th) followed by burial service in Mount Jerome Cemetery.
