Patrick John Laverty

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Pat on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025, at his home in Clooniffe, Moycullen, with his loving family by his side. Born in Stranorlar, County Donegal on December 3, 1936.

Sadly and deeply mourned by his wife Mary (Mai) and will be forever missed by his loving daughters Helen and Ann-Marie . He was the cherished brother of Maureen and adored grandfather of Daniel, Aislinn and Ciarán. Pat will be fondly remembered by the extended Laverty and Curran family, neighbours and many friends in both Donegal and Galway.

Reposing at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Monday, September 29th, 2025

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Pat at St. Mary's Church, Claddagh on arrival at 11.00 a.m. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Forthill cemetery, Lough Atalia Road.
