Patrick (Paddy) Blessing

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Blessing of Cavan Town, on 16th August 2025. Patrick passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Susan (Cissie) Blessing and sister Bernadette.

Sadly missed and remembered by his wife Anne (née O’Brien), children Conor, Sarah (son-in-law Jonathan) Clare and Niall, his adored grandchildren Chloe, Isla and Louis , brother Louis (Ann) sisters Sinead, Grainne, Ann (Michael), Mary , nephews and nieces, the O'Brien family and his many friends.

Patrick will repose at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Sunday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Removal of his remains on Monday morning travelling to the Cathedral of Saints Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Following Mass a cremation will take place at Lakelands Crematorium. Patrick’s Funeral Mass can be viewed live on the parish website at www.cavantownparish.com/webcam
