Patrick (Paddy) Cooley

In his 90th year. Peacefully, with his family by his side, in the care of the staff of Bushfield Care Centre, Oranmore, Co Galway. Predeceased by his brothers John, Matthew, Thomas and Robbie and sisters Sr Anne, Sr Thomasina and Margaret. Dearly loved husband of the late Bridie and cherished dad to daughters Marian, Mairead, Pauline, Fiona and Caroline. Adored grandfather to Helen and Ciarán and father-in-law to Michael and Armand. Deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in the Sacred Heart Room, adjacent to the Sacred Heart Church, in Ryehill, Monivea (H65 YE18) on Thursday 27th July from 5.30pm with removal at 7pm to adjoining church. Requiem Mass on Friday 28th at 12.30pm followed by burial afterwards in New Cemetery, Athenry.

The Cooley family wishes to thank Dr. Michael McGloin, Dr Bridget Keane, Dr Ian O’Connor, Dr David Meehan and all the staff at Athenry PCC. We would also like to thank the staff of Castleturvin Nursing Home, Athenry, where dad resided for seven months with mum. We would also like to thank the staff at UHG and Westdoc staff who frequently attended Dad in the nursing home. A huge thank you to the kind staff at Bushfield Care Centre, Oranmore who took such loving care of dad for nine months and especially in the past few months when his health deteriorated, we will be forever grateful.
