Patrick (Paddy) Fletcher

Paddy Fletcher of Rathgar, Dublin, passed peacefully, in the company of his close family on Saturday, 11 October 2025, following a difficult illness fought with dignity, grace and absolute determination.

Beloved husband to Anne, father to Clare and Tom, grumpsy to grand-daughter Holly, and brother to Mary, Gillie and Elizabeth, Paddy was predeceased by his parents Tommy and Maeve. Particularly in the last year, he received incredible support from his steadfast group of friends. Despite his illness, he always lived life on his own terms.

Paddy will repose at home, 5 Victoria Road, Rathgar, D06 PV26, on Sunday (12th October) from 5pm to 7pm. A celebration of his life will take place at 10am on Monday morning (13th October) in St. Joseph's Church, Terenure, D06 CX23, followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park.The family have requested that in place of flowers, donations may be made to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association on the donate link at the end of this notice.
