Patrick (Paddy) McGarrell

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) McGarrell. Drummond Etra, Carrickmacross & formerly Bocks Lower, Laragh, Castleblayney. 10th December 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by his cherished family, in the wonderful care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by his parents Michael & Mary, his brothers Brian, Michael & Peter and his sister Mary Cawley.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his beloved family; his brothers Tommy, John & Francis and his sisters Kathleen Dirane, Judy Fleming, Alice McGarrell, Ellen Thwaites & Claire Connolly, his extended family, neighbours & friends.

Patrick will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328 on Friday, 12th December, from 5pm until 7pm.

Patrick's funeral cortège will leave the Funeral Home on Saturday, 13th December, proceeding to St. Mary's Church, Lisdoonan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
