Patrick (Pat) J. Sugrue

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) J. Sugrue of Flushing, New York, and formerly of Kenneigh, Waterville, County Kerry, on Friday, 20th February 2026, aged 97 years.

Pat was the beloved husband of the late Peggie (nee Clancy) of Carrowfree, County Clare, and together they built a loving family. He is survived by his children Michael, Mary, Patricia, and Patrick and their spouses. He was a proud grandfather to Alexa, Alana, Victoria, Eric, Dominick, Frankie, Anthony, Sydney, Kelley and Holly. Pat was also a brother to Cautie McCarthy and Eileen Houston, and predeceased by his siblings Jimmy, Sean and Bob Sugrue, Maureen Callan Sugrue and Breda Melly.

Pat will be remembered for his dedication to family, his community and his country. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him.

The visitation for Pat will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, Flushing, New York on Wednesday, 25th February 2026 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St Kevin’s RC Church, Flushing, New York, on Thursday, 26th February 2026, at 9:45am. The Committal Service will follow at Mount St Mary Cemetery, Fresh Meadows, New York.
