Paddy passed away peacefully at home on St. Stephen’s Day, following a long illness bravely borne.
Paddy studied to become a barrister at Queen’s University Belfast, where he received the President’s Award for his academic achievements. He later qualified as a solicitor in Galway and practised from Abbeygate Street.
Predeceased by his beloved parents Val and Irene Lynch (née Bodkin).
Lovingly remembered by his cousins Mary O’Connor, Frank Cunningham (Australia), and Eukaria Murphy (Tuam); by Mary’s husband Noel, and Eukaria’s husband PJ; his extended family Shane O’Connor and his wife Úna, and Emer O’Connor; along with his neighbours and many friends.
Paddy’s family would like to sincerely thank all who cared for him with such kindness and compassion throughout his illness.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Conneely’s Funeral Home, Flood Street (H91 A786), on Tuesday, 30th December 2025, from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., with removal afterwards to St. Augustine’s Church.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on New Year’s Eve at 11.00 a.m.
Following Mass, burial will take place in the family grave at The New Cemetery, Bohermore.

Parking Information
Limited family parking (up to five cars) is available at the funeral home. A designated drop-off point is available outside the funeral home for those with mobility needs, and assistance will be provided if required. Three multi-storey car parks are located within walking distance, with additional parking available in the Claddagh, Merchant Road and dock areas.
