MOLONEY (née McNamara) Patsy. ‘Solair,’ Georges Street, Gort, Co. Galway, formerly of Crusheen, Co. Clare. Patsy passed peacefully in University Hospital Galway, in the presence of her loving son Enda. She completed her life’s journey wrapped in the love of her treasured family who cherished her always, on the 7th of February, 2026,

Predeceased by her beloved husband Paddy, by her parents May and Patrick McNamara, her sister Monica and brother Christy.

Patsy will remain forever in the hearts of her loving family. Cherished and much loved mother of Mary, Geraldine and Enda. Fondly remembered by her loving sister, Sr. Loretto (Maura), by her wonderful daughter-in-law Laurena, her adored grandchildren Nancy, Ciara and Patrick, her brother-in-law Larry Duane, nephew, nieces, cousins, loyal neighbours, many great friends and by the extended Moloney and McNamara families.

The family deeply appreciates your kindness and support at this time. A sincere word of thanks to all the staff in Rosemount Nursing Home Gort for the kindness, compassion and thoughtful care given to Patsy. We as a family, remain deeply grateful for the comfort and respect you afforded her. Finally, much gratitude to Gort Medical Centre, University Hospital Galway and Gort Health Centre for the care given to Patsy over the years.

Patsy’s kind and gentle soul now rests in the loving arms of God

Patsy will lie in repose in Seomra Ciúin, within Gort Town Hall, Church Street, Gort, (H91 E0C8) on Tuesday evening, February 10th, from 5.30pm. Removal at 7pm to St. Colman’s Church Gort. Requiem Mass on Wednesday February 11th at 12 noon. Patsy will be laid to rest afterwards in St. Colman’s Cemetery Gort, alongside her beloved husband Paddy.
