Patsy Murphy
(née O’Higgins)

Salthill, Galway / Cong, Mayo

On February 25th, 2026, Patsy died very peacefully in the great care of the staff at St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Galway. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Áine and by her infants Richard, Anne Marie and Fleur.

 

Patsy is deeply mourned and will be sadly missed always by her much-loved husband Rory, sons David and Rory, brother Micheál, sisters Caitriona, Fiona and Ann, sisters-in-law Mary and Jean, nieces and nephews, Michael and Maeve, Michele and Jacqueline, the extended Murphy, O’Higgins and Mungovan families, the management and staff of Ashford Castle, lovely neighbours, and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
Monday, 2nd March, 2026 Patsy will lie in Repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. with Removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill at 6.30 p.m.

Tuesday, 3rd March, 2026 , A Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Patsy at 12 noon. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery. Mass will be live streamed

Parking and entrance to the funeral parlour.
Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Road works continue within the city, with road diversions in place.

Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour are: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
