PAUL DAVITT

Ashford, Co. Wicklow & formerly of Churchtown, Dublin

26th October 2024.

In the very special care of the Royal Hospital, Donnybrook. Adored and cherished husband of Adrienne, his sister Jackie, brother Peter, sisters-in-law Deirdre and Andrea and predeceased by John, Monica, Robert and brother-in-law Brian. Paul will be hugely missed by his boys Luke & Nathan, his nieces, nephews and cousins and his wide circle of great friends. He was uniquely strong, caring, funny, clever and committed to all of his family and friends. Paul was founder of the Ashford Cricket Club and the Wicklow Backgammon Tournament, a former rugby player (St. Mary’s and Railway Union) a JCT winner and lifelong passionate fan. He absolutely loved living in the beautiful Wicklow hills and was also very attached to Valentia Island. He lived life on his terms and embraced all adventures and experiences with amazing zest and love for life. Everything was more fun with him leading the craic agus ceol. He was the best husband, father, brother, uncle, team mate and friend to so many. He was truly brave and beautiful and made our lives so much better by knowing and loving him.

We wish to thank the following for all of their tremendous care of Paul over the past three years; Prof. O’Boyle and team, Beaumont, Prof. Niall Tubridy and team, St. Vincent's, Ms Mary Barry and team St. Vincent's, St. Michael's Heart Failure Unit, St.. Columcille's, and for the past two months, Dr. Lisa Hogan and team in the Royal Hospital.
