Paul Doonan (1960-2022), of Durrus, West Cork, formerly of Raheny, and Howth, Dublin, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 24th surrounded by his loving family. Greatly missed and remembered by his wife Cesca, son Fionn, daughter Fern, mother Gloria, grandchildren Hana and Sofie, brothers Tony and Niall, sister Siobhan, daughter-in-law Serra, sisters and brothers in-law, Anne-Marie, Billy and Charlie, nieces, nephews, wider family and friends. Pre-deceased by his father Pat.
Paul’s family would like to thank Dr Derek Power and everyone on St Theresa’s Ward, The Mercy University Hospital, Cork and everyone else who has treated Paul during his illness for their help and support.
Paul’s funeral, followed by cremation, will be family only. For those who’d like to pay their respects, the funeral cortege will pass through Durrus Village at 11.40am approx. on Friday August 26th. No flowers please. Donations, in lieu if desired, to the Mercy Cancer Foundation, Cork.
Refreshments at Ross’s Bar, Durrus, West Cork, from 5pm on Friday 26th August.
