It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Paul McSweeney, Ballyvolane, Cork, who passed away on 1st of January 2026, peacefully at home.

Paul, dearly loved husband of Irene (Née Bridgeman), adored father of Paul, Tanya, Stewart and Aaron.
Predeceased by his parents Eily, Jerry and brother Sean.

Sadly, missed by his loving wife and family, grandchildren Harry, Elizabeth, Holly, Abbie, Paul, Alice, Rose, and Robyn, son-in-law Ger, daughters-in-law Orna and Karen, brother Diarmuid, sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Road, Mayfield, Cork, Monday 5th January 2026 from 5.00 to 6.00pm, with prayers at 5:45pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday 6th January 2026 at 11.00am in St. Oliver’s Church, Ballyvolane which will be live streamed here Followed by burial in St. Catherine’s, Kilcully.
