Peadar Gartlan

The death has occurred of Peadar Gartlan, Annacroft, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at St. Oliver’s Nursing Home, Dundalk, Co. Louth Sunday 27th December 2020. Predeceased by his son Peter. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Carmel, daughter Angela, sons Kevin and Martin, grandchildren, sisters Rita and Mary, brother Thomas, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace

In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and in respect of Government Guidelines for Level 5, there will be no public wake as Peadar’s funeral and burial will be celebrated privately by his family (limited to 10).

There will be an opportunity for neighbours and friends to pay their respects as Peadar’s funeral cortège leaves his residence on Tuesday morning, via Ballymackney and Essexford, to arrive at St. Enda’s Church, Killanny, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
