The death has occurred of Peggy (Margaret) Govern (nee Boyhan) The Dream, Moynalty, Kells Co. Meath on Friday 27th February 2026 peacefully in the loving arms of Care Choice Nursing Home Trim Co. Meath after celebrating 92 years of life.

Predeceased by her parents Bridget and Pat Boyhan, her husband Michael (Mickey) Govern, her son Paddy, brothers Liam and Padraig, sister Kathleen.

Sadly missed by her sons Michael (Marie), Declan (Carmel), Fintan (Mary), Enda (Denise), her sisters Rosie (Joe recently deceased), Patsy (Bobby), Bridie (Tom), daughters in law Teresa and Eileen, brother in law Tony, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

May Peggy’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

Reposing at The Village Chapel of Rest, Mullagh Co. Cavan (A82 DE28) on Monday evening from 4pm until 6:30pm followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption Moynalty, arriving for evening prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass at 11.00am on Tuesday morning, burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery Moynalty.

The Govern family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Care Choice Trim for the excellent care and kindness given to their mother throughout her time with them.
