Peggy (Margaret) Hayes
(née O'Driscoll)

Hayes, Bridge Street, Skibbereen and Lisheen. On December 26th, 2025 on her 89th birthday, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. PEGGY, daughter of the late John and Margaret. Predeceased by her loving husband Michael (formerly Clonakilty). Sadly missed by her children Anthony, Mike and Marie, daughters-in-law Norma and Pauline, grand-children Laura, Adam, Robert and Ellen, Robert’s partner Emma and Ellen’s partner Luke, great-grandson Naoise, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, many great friends, neighbours and customers.

Reposing at Romie O'Donovan's Funeral Home, North Street, Skibbereen on Sunday, 28th December from 3pm to 6pm followed by prayers. Requiem Mass on Tuesday, 30th December in St. Comghall’s Church, Lisheen at 2:30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to two charities close to Peggy’s heart, the RNLI and Breakthrough Cancer Research.

We the family, would like to express our sincere gratitude for the exceptional care given to Peggy by Dr. Gerard O’Shaughnessy, doctors, nurses and receptionists of Skibbereen Medical Centre, nurses Kitty and Paula. Dr. Donal Harney and the nurses of the Department of Pain Medicine, Mercy Hospital Cork.
