The death has occurred of Peggy Tonra (née Curran) Mainguard Street, Galway / Corrigeenroe, Boyle/ Sáile Thúna, An Spidéal.
Peggy Tonra, Mainguard Street, Galway and formerly Corrigeenroe, Boyle, died January 27th 2026 (peacefully) after a short illness, surrounded by her close family.
Beloved wife of the late James Tonra. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Róisín, her family, the Augustinian community and friends, and by Jean, Art, Aodh, Bláthnaid, Ciara, Eoghan, Eanna, Orla, Gráinne, Siobhán, Peter, Maureen, Claire, Liam, Bridget, Coman, Catriona, Fintan, John, Paul and James.
Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, F52 WT26 on Thursday evening, 29thJanuary, from 5p.m until 7p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Teresa’s Church, Corrigeenroe, Boyle, F52 FX47, at 11.30am on Friday 30th, followed by burial in Aughanagh Cemetery.
