Peter Joe Fitzmaurice

The death has occurred of Peter Joe Fitzmaurice, Cloonfad-More & Aughamore, Hillstreet, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon. Peter Joe passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and friends, at home, on Thursday 20th April, following a brief illness bravely borne.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Bridget, his brother Thomas Patrick and sisters Bernadette (Lavin) & Sister Nora. Deeply mourned by his heartbroken wife Bernadette, son Gerard, daughter-in-law Claire and adored grandchildren Killian, Amy and Kayla.

Sadly missed by his stepsons Jimmy, Andy, Danny and Pat Connellan, their wives Gena, Siobhán, Mary and Bríd and their children, sisters Mary (Dublin) and Una (Fannon) (Ballyshannon), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Peter Joe will also be very much missed by his friends in Kilmore GAA Club and the wider GAA community in Roscommon and beyond.

Peter Joe will repose at the home of his son Gerard and daughter-in-law Claire, Cloonfad-More (N41 FC04), on Friday, 21st April, from 4pm-8pm. Removal to Aughrim Church (N41 PV29) on Saturday for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm with funeral proceeding to Aughrim Cemetery.
