Peter passed away peacefully after a short illness in the exceptional care of the staff at Centro Hospital Universitario do Algarve-Faro.

Peter is pre-deceased by his loving wife Bridie (Donlon), his parents Michael and Mary Kate, his brothers Jack and Tom.

Peter will be sadly missed by his sons Bosco and Stephen, his daughters Muriel and Loretta, his daughters-in-law Susan and Maryla, his grandchildren Katie, Daniel, Emily and Rosalia, and his great-granddaughter Mia. Deeply regretted by his brothers, Mick and Tony (Claremorris), his sister Phil (Claremorris), all his extended family members, neighbours and friends.

A private Cremation Ceremony took place in Portugal for Peter on the 6th of April 2026. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am on Monday the 20th of April at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Westside, Galway (H91E781).A private internment of his Ashes will take place at a later date.
