Peter Lavelle

Peter Lavelle (better known as Pete), Knocknalower, Barnatra, Ballina, Co. Mayo, peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar, surrounded by his loving family on the 7th of May 2022 in his 88th year.

Predeceased by his parents Pete and Nellie Lavelle, sons Martin John and Martin John, daughter Ellen, granddaughter Geraldine Lavelle and grandson Alan Lavelle, sister Nora, brothers Pat, Anthony and Jimmy.

Pete will be sadly missed by his loving family, wife Lee, sons and daughters Mary (Rossport), Pete, Jimmy and Gerry (Knocknalower) and Elizabeth (Chancery, Castlebar), sisters Mary Flannery (Barnatra) and Ellen Ginnane (Shannon), brother Johnny Lavelle (London), sons in law Willie Corduff and John Gaffney, daughters in law Geraldine Lavelle and Margaret Lavelle, sister in law Kathleen Ryan (New York), grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, friends and neighbours.

May Pete’s Kind and Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Remains will repose at his residence (F26 H522) on Sunday evening from 4 o clock until 7 o clock and on Monday evening from 4 o clock until 7 o clock. Pete’s funeral cortege will depart from his residence on Tuesday morning at 11:30am to arrive at Christ the King Church, Aughoose for funeral mass at 12 noon. Interment will take place immediately afterwards in Pullathomas cemetery.
