PETER MELVILLE

Melville Peter, Kiltartan and Raheen, Gort, Co. Galway. Passed away suddenly on Friday, January 15th, 2021 at home. Predeceased by his father Malachy and brother Brian. Cherished husband and best friend of Aileen and wonderful Daddy of Peadar and Kate (Padakay). Sadly missed by his loving mother Mary, brothers John and Tom, sisters Marie, Catríona, Majella and Claire. Remembered with love by his father-in-law Andy, mother-in-law Carmel, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts Bridie Thompson, Kilchreest and Breda Kilmartin, USA, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours, his many friends and by the extended Melville and Dunleavy families.

Due to current restrictions to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, Peter’s funeral will be held in private. In line with level 5 restrictions, the family home, church and burial are strictly private.

Private funeral Mass will take place in St. Colman’s church Gort on Monday, 18th January, at 1pm with burial afterwards in Kiltartan cemetery. Family flowers only please. Peter’s funeral Mass can be viewed online on the Gort Parish Facebook Page.
