Formerly of St. Joseph's Avenue, Henry Street. Peacefully, at his home, on 8th of January, 2022. Pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Jack. RIP. Peter will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend Lorraine, his beloved daughter Kiera, sons Peter, Jonathan, Derek and Dean. Deeply mourned by his wife, daughter and sons, sisters Patricia, Mary and Agatha, brother Noel, grandchildren Katlyn and Adam, Aunties Aggie. Maureen and Cissy, uncles Fr. Michael, Liam and Seamus, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, godchildren, the extended Mernagh family, friends, neighbours and colleagues at Galway University Hospital.
Removal from the family home in Slieveroe on Wednesday, 12th January, to arrive at St. Colman’s Church, Craughwell, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral after Mass to Ballymore Cemetery, Craughwell. Live-stream link for Mass https://churchmedia.tv/camera/st-colman-craughwell

Peter’s family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Emergency Dept and Medical Assessment Unit of Galway University Hospital and all the staff of Galway Hospice Foundation for the exceptional care he received.
They are also very mindful of the current Covid-19 situation and to curtail the spread of Covid-19 they ask that those attending the funeral adhere to social distancing guidelines, wear a face mask and refrain from shaking hands.
