Peter (Pete) Morris

Peter (Pete) Morris, Ballyrourke, Borrisokane (President of Buiríos Uí Chéin CLG) passed away peacefully on 30thMarch, 2026 at 90 years of age, in the gentle care of the Palliative Team at Tullamore Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Pete was predeceased by his parents Martin and Bridget (nee O’Meara) and his brothers Seán, Willie, Joe, Martin and Jimmy. He was loving husband and best friend of Margaret (nee Casey) and a wonderful father to Declan, Seán, Bríd (Ryan), Jean (Hanlon), Mary (Molly Walsh), Mairéad (Toni Hennessy) and Ger.

Pete will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, his family, his brothers Noel and Mick, his sisters Mary and Teresa, his adored grandchildren Barry, Conor, David, Eimear, Isaac, Steven, Grace, Gearóid and Éabha, his daughters-in-law Colette, Joan and Helen, his sons-in-law Phonsie, Joey, John and Tom, nieces, nephews, brothers in-law, sisters in-law relatives, neighbours and many dear friends.

Pete will repose in Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Borrisokane onFriday evening 3rd April, from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral will arrive at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Borrisokane on Saturday, 4th at 1145am for Liturgy of the Word and Final Commendation at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Pete’s family would like to acknowledge the excellent care that he received from the nursing staff and all the medical professionals in Tullamore Hospital, particularly the Palliative Care Team.
