The death has occurred of Philip Dunne Snr, 8 Cherry Hill Court, Kells Co. Meath,
peacefully, following a short illness, surrounded by his family, in the loving care of the wonderful medical
and nursing staff of Our Lady’s Hospital Navan, 15th January 2024.
Philip was predeceased by his parents Paddy and Bridget and brothers Christy and Paddy and is survived by
his loving wife Jacinta (Cindy) his devoted children Maria, Philip, Theresa, Damien, Danny,
grandchildren Reece, Kyle, Finley, Oisin, brothers and sisters Gene, Nuala, Olive, Teresa, Thomas, John,
daughters in-law Valerie, Amy, Clodagh, son in-law Murt, nieces, nephews and extended family and many friends.
Philip will repose at his residence A82 H3K4 on Wednesday from 4 - 7pm
House Strictly Private Thereafter
Removal on Thursday, 18th January, at 10.30 am
to arrive at St. Colmcille’s Church, Kells, for Funeral Mass at 11am

followed by cremation at
Lakelands Crematorium Dublin Road, Cavan H12 RF78
Philip will be remembered as a very hard working conscientious employee who was both professional and diligent
at his work. Prior to his retirement he worked at Mc Gowan Civil Engineering in many parts of Ireland and his
workmanship and skill was always greatly admired.
He was also a dedicated member of Kells Fire Service and earned the title of Admiral Of The Boyne, having raised a considerable amount of money for those with special needs within the County of Meath for Meath Rehab.
Philip will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
May His Gentle Soul Rest In The Love And Mercy Of God.
The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care that was shown to Philip
during his time in Our Lady’s Hospital Navan by the doctors, nurses, care assistants and the pastrol team
all of whom assisted in allowing Philip a dignified and peaceful passing.
