Philip McCARTHY

McCARTHY Philip (Jake the Snake) (Late of Cabra West) August 28th 2025. Passed peacefully, after a short illness, in the loving care of his family at his son’s home in County Wicklow.

 

Predeceased by his mother Margaret, father Harry, brothers Haro, Pat and John, sisters Maisie, Patty, Jennie and Rosie, niece Corina, nephew Paul and granddaughter Aleah.

 

Sadly missed by his son Warren, daughter-in-law Stacey, daughter Vicky, his best friend and granddaughter Shannon, grandchildren Taighé, Bonnie-May, Abigail, Maisie-Rose, Evie and Nova, sisters Kathleen, Sheila, June and Frances, nieces and nephews (especially Jeff and Alan), the Jones’s family, the lads in Keno’s in Cabra, and a wide circle of friends (especially Rico, Paul, Starey and Dathí). Cared for by his daughter-in-law Stacey or as Philip called her, ‘The Nurse Rachet’

 

Reposing at his sister June’s home in Poppintree on Wednesday evening, September 3rd, from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning, September 4th, at 10.15am at the Church of The Most Precious Blood, Cabra West, followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.
