The death has occurred of Philomena (Phil) Shields, nee Woods of Belmont, Carlingford, formally of Mucklagh, peacefully in her eighty fifth year in the tender care of the staff of Carlingford Nursing Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jim, parents Patsy and Katie, sisters Mary, Katie, Bridie and Peggy, brothers Mike, Tommy, Patsy and Hugh. Very deeply regretted by her daughters Doreen, Noeleen, Barbara and Una, son Peter, daughter-in-law Julie, sons-in-law and partner Nolen, Terry, Kieran and Jim, brothers Christopher and Martin, sisters-in-law Marcella, Laura and Dympna. Devoted grandmother to Sarah, Lauren, Emma, Oisin, Elizabeth, Amy, Adam, Peter, Laoise, Katie, Laura, Aibhlinn and Orlaith and great grandchildren Molly, Sadie, Niamh and Aoife and all her nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Rice Funeral Directors, Chapel Lane, Carlingford (A91 TY79) for neighbours and friends to call on Thursday afternoon from 4.00pm –8.00pm. Removal on Friday morning proceeding via her residence at Belmont to St. James Church, Grange, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Phil’s Funeral Mass can be viewed by clicking on the link below. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Carlingford Red Cross. A Donation Box will be available at the Funeral Home and Church.
