SWEENEY (née Ryan), Philomena (Phil) - January 12th, 2023 (peacefully) at Tara Winthrop Private Clinic, Swords. Wife of the late Anthony (Tony) Sweeney. Sadly missed by her loving family: sister Mary, daughter Mary, sons John, Gerard, Kevin and Paul, daughter’s in-law Karen, Bairbre, Adrienne, and Deb, son in-law Maurice, grandchildren Glenn, Shane, Elaine, Conor, Niall, Tony, Alan, Orla, Mark, Charlotte, and William, great grandchildren Caitlin, Holly, Finn, Layla, Aoife, Robyn, Joshua and Ciara, sisters in-law Betty and Trudi, brother in-law Don, partners of all grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and all relatives and friends.
Philomena was a long serving member of the Dollymount ICA Guild and also worked on many voluntary committees in the area. She touched and influenced many people through her long life and was cherished and loved by all. She will be sadly missed.
May She Rest In Peace.
Due to her selfless bequeath to the Royal College of Surgeons, her final Memorial Mass will take place at 10.30am on Saturday, January 21st at St. Gabriel’s Church, Clontarf.
The family would like to thank the doctor, nurses, care assistants, and all the staff at the Tara Winthrop Private Clinic for their excellent care for Philomena during the past year.
