P.J. (Patrick) O'Malley

P.J. (Patrick) O' Malley (Cedar Lodge, Ballincar, Sligo, formerly Cahir, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo) March 16th 2020, (peacefully) after a short illness at Sligo University Hospital. Sadly missed by his wife Christina, sons Shane and Philip; brother Séan, sister Maura; grandchildren Ella, Rebekah, Charlie, Eddie and Alex, daughters-in-law Georgina and Svetlana, sisters-in-law Helen, Noreen, Elaine, Breda, and Marie; brothers-in-law Philip and Jim, nephews, nieces, grand - nieces and nephews, cousins, especially Eileen, neighbours, freinds, Forestry colleagues, Golf buddies, and his at home companions Paul, Dorota, and Rachel.

His family is very grateful to his at-home carers, and the kind carers and staff in St. John's Day Hospital and Residential Unit. We would also like to sincerely thank all the Nurses and Doctors in Sligo University Hospital who gave him such vigilant care and support in his final two years.

In line with Government / HSE advice and to ensure the safety of all Dad's relatives and friends, a private funeral will be held.

His family asks that everyone who knew him would take some time to light a candle and think about happy times they've had with PJ as his Funeral Mass will be streamed live on Wednesday (March 18th) at 12 noon from St. Patrick's Church. We hope that we will be able to celebrate Dad's life with family and friends when current restrictions are lifted at a later date.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to the Homeless, as this would make Dad smile.
