Polly WALSH
Walsh, Polly (aged 5), (Clondalkin) died at home on 13 October 2019, seven months after being diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour (DIPG); cherished daughter of Joe and Mahin and much loved sister of Christian and Killian. Very sadly missed by her heartbroken parents, brothers, family, nana Ellen, aunties Susan and Grainne, uncles Graeme and Seamus, cousins Megan, Sophie, Abbie, Jamie and Cleo, relatives and all her friends.
Polly faced this difficult journey with courage, determination and a much needed touch of humour. Polly taught us invaluable lessons about dealing with adversity with neither complaint nor resentment.
We all loved Polly beyond words and we will miss her every second of every day. Life for us will never be the same without her but we are immensely grateful for the five wonderful years we had with her. She was truly remarkable and she will always remain at the centre of our family.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11.30am in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clondalkin Village and afterwards for burial in Newlands Cross Cemetery.
We wish to sincerely thank the following charities for their invaluable support: Lauralynn, Make a Wish, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie, Cliona’s Foundation and the Irish Cancer Society. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to these charities. House private, please.
