Brian passed away peacefully, on the 27th December 2023, following a short illness. Sorely missed by Helga and his daughters Ingrid and Heide, and his grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends. Brian was loved by many across the world, always bringing life, humour and noise into any occasion. Committed to helping others all his life, he is known for his teaching at home in Galway University and abroad through WHO and CINP. He taught so many, in Ireland, Africa, Europe and across the globe. He was renowned for his important research in psychopharmacology and was still publishing, long after his "retirement". Brian was always more than a colleague to so many, he was a mentor, a supporter and a friend always.

Cremation took place for Brian earlier this week in Shannon Crematorium.

Memorial Service to be held at the Harbour Hotel, Galway, 3pm Friday 12th January 2023.
