The death has occurred of
Prof. Christopher Whelan
Professor Christopher Whelan, Stillorgan. Emeritus Professor of Sociology UCD, previously Research Professor, Economic and Social Research Institute. Member of the Royal Irish Academy. Peacefully in the loving care of the nursing staff of the 6th floor of the Beacon Hospital. Beloved husband and soulmate of Yvonne, dearly loved father of Alan and Karl. Lovingly remembered by his daughters-in-law, Martina, Maura and Suzanne and his adored grandchildren, Jessica, Abby, Ellie and Cillian.
Arriving at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross at 4pm on Friday, September 9th. For those who cannot attend Christopher’s service, please click here.
