Professor Yuri Volkov

Volkov Professor Yuri, 15th March 2021, Clondalkin, Dublin and Professor of Molecular & Translational Medicine, Trinity College, Dublin, peacefully, after a brave battle with a terminal illness, in the kind care of the staff of St. James’s Hospital.  Beloved husband of Irina and loving father of Liza and the late Mikhail.  Yuri will be very deeply missed by his loving wife, daughter, sister Nina, brother Vladimir, extended family, his wide circle of friends and dear colleagues.

May Yuri rest in peace.

In line with Government/HSE advice and to ensure the safety of all Yuri’s family and friends, a small private funeral will take place. Yuri’s family would ask that over the coming days, everyone who knew Yuri would take some time to light a candle or say a prayer in his memory.
