RACHEL THOMPSON (née Stretton) has died peacefully at her home in Ballytrasna, Ballycotton, surrounded by her loving family: her beloved husband Ken and her sons and daughters in law Peter and Caragh, Matthew and Shermin, Philip and Marina, James and Ayako, Simon and Kim and her eight grandchildren.

Reunited at last with her beloved daughter Katy who died in 1998.

Sadly missed also by her extended family and large circle of friends.

Rachel’s family would like to thank her wonderful carers, the teams at IMNDA and Marymount Hospice for the exceptional care given to Rachel during her illness.

Rachel’s home in Ballytrasna will be open to visitors on Wednesday 25th from 3pm - 7pm.

Rachel will leave her home with her family on Thursday 26th for Requiem Mass at 4pm in the Star of the Sea Church, Ballycotton after which Rachel will be laid to rest with her beloved Katy in Churchtown South Cemetery.
