Raymond O'Leary

O’LEARY, Barness, Allihies, Beara, Co.Cork. On February 17th 2026, peacefully passed away in his 92nd year of life, in the presence of his family, at Bantry General Hospital, RAYMOND. Beloved husband to Catherine (née Harrington), brother to Peggy Cullen. Predeceased by his parents Nora and Peter, sister Mary and brother James. Deeply mourned by his son PJ, daughters Nora, Catherine and Margaret, his adored grandchildren Kevin, Debbie, Matthew, Aideen, Pete, Callum and Donncha, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, nephews, nieces, partners, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Raymond’s family would like to thank all the staff at Bantry General Hospital, his G.P.s and his wonderful home help team for the care and kindness shown to Raymond and his family in recent years, it is very much appreciated.

Reposing at Harrington’s Funeral Home, Castletownbere on Thursday, February 19th, from 5pm to 7pm followed by prayers. Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, February 20th at 12noon in St.Michael’s Church in Allihies followed by burial in the local cemetery.
