The death has occurred of
Rev. Fr. Jerry ROCHE
Fr. Jerry worked in Kenya with St. Patrick Fathers since 1968. He also served in London, Castleisland, Co. Kerry, Bruff, Co. Limerick and Grenagh, Co. Cork. He is son of the late Edmund and Mary Roche (nee Dalton).
He is survived by his brothers Noel (Chicago and Athea), Patrick and his wife Josie (Athea), Michael and his wife Catherine (Cork), Christopher and his wife Ellen Ann (Chicago), sisters Margaret (Athea), Nora, wife of Timmy Cunningham (Athea), Hannah, wife of Kieran Sheehy (Dublin), Mary Ann, wife of William Shanahan (Chicago), Eileen, wife of the late Gerry Naughton (Chicago), and Kit, wife of the late Patrick McCartin (Chicago), nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large circle of friends both in Ireland and abroad.
Waking at his sister Nora Cunningham’s residence, Glin Road, Athea, Co. Limerick from 5.30pm to 9pm on Saturday evening, December 19th. Sympathizing with family in St. Bartholomew’s Church Athea from 1pm on Sunday, December 20th, followed by Requiem Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in Holy Cross Cemetery Athea. No flowers, please. Donations, if desired, to St. Patrick’s Missionary Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow.
