Fr. Patrick passed peacefully at Fermoy Community Hospital on March 4, 2026. Born July 11, 1930,
Fr. Patrick was the beloved son of the late Michael and Hannah (née Brackett) Barry.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Thomas (Marshfield, MA), Rev. John (Vancouver, Canada), Michael (Quincy, MA), James (Ballyduff, Co. Waterford), and David (Essex, England).
He is survived by his sister-in-law Bridget, many nephews and nieces, extended family, friends, and the many communities he served with extraordinary compassion and faith.
Rev. Fr. Patrick Barry dedicated his life to the priesthood, celebrating his 70th anniversary in 2024. He will be remembered as a deeply faithful, kind, humble, and selfless man who always had a warm smile, a gentle word, and a great sense of humor for everyone he met. A loving uncle, his kindness, wisdom, and gentle presence will always remain in our hearts.

Fr. Barry will repose at
Ronayne's Funeral Home Fermoy P61 WT21
Sunday from 4.00.pm until 6.00.pm
followed by removal to
St. Catherine's Church Conna
Con-celebrated Requiem Mass Monday 4.00.pm burial afterwards in Conna cemetery.
