Rev Patrick O'Connell

The death has occurred, on 19th June 2023 at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne, Rev Patrick O'Connell (Fr. Pat) Retired priest of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. Son of the late Julia and Jeremiah O' Connell, Clounavrick, Macroom. Brother of Chris (Chrissie) O'Connell and the late Abina Ambrose (nee O'Connell), the late Kitty Silver (née O'Connell, Australia), brother of the late Con, John, Miah, Dan, and Tommy; brother-in-law of Eileen O'Connell, and the late Noreen, Kathleen, Peggy and Jackie Ambrose and Sid Silver. Sadly missed by his loving sister Chris, his
nieces, nephews especially Fr.Cuthbert (Biloxi, USA), grandnieces and grandnephews, his carer and very good friend, Michele, his many relatives and his large circle of friends.

Reposing in St. John Baptist Church, Rusheen (Eircode P12HK85) from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesday, 12th July. Reposing in St. Colman’s Church, Macroom (P12VP20) on Wednesday, 12th July, from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, July 13th at 2.30pm which can be viewed on www.munsterfunerallivestream.ie/rev-patrick-oconnell Funeral afterwards to St Colman’s Cemetery, Macroom.
