Rev. Walter McNamara C.S.Sp., (Kimmage Manor and late of Ballybrophy and Thurles.) Died peacefully on Wednesday, 4th September 2024, surrounded by family and confrères, in the wonderful care of Nazareth House Nursing Home. Missionary in Australia, Ireland, England and Sierra Leone. Son of the late Leonore (née Delahunty) and Thomas McNamara. Predeceased by his sisters Mary Olive (Barry), Joan (Mullins), Anne (Gannon) and Leonore (Sexton), and brothers Desmond and John. Deeply regretted by his brothers Fr William (San Antonio, Texas), Séamus (Smithville, Texas) and Gearóid, sisters-in-law Kathy and Ailís, brother-in-law Séamus Mullins (Perth, Australia), nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, extended family, wide circle of friends and fellow Spiritans.

Funeral Mass will take place in the Holy Spirit Parish Church, Kimmage Manor (D12 WP44) at 11am on Tuesday, 10th September, followed by burial in Dardistown Cemetery.
