RICCARDO VALLEBELLA (Rico)

 

Un Romani da Roma; a free spirit.

 

RICO passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 6th 2025, surrounded by his family and held in the loving care of Marymount Hospice, Cork through his final weeks.

 

Rico’s radiant smile and gentle loving enthusiasm touched all who knew him and this world very deeply.

 

He is so greatly missed by his wife Clair, his son Brú and his daughter Rosa, his mother Amalia Peccerillo, his brothers Silvestro & GianPaulo Vallebella and sister-in-law Nardos; by the McSweeney & Hogan families, Erin and all our dear friends.

 

Rico will lie in repose at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh O’Connor Ltd; (T12PX60) on Friday (May 9th) from 4.00pm

A celebration of his life will follow there at 5.00pm.

 

Rico will be laid to rest at the Meadowland of Woodbrook Natural Burial Ground, Woodbrook, Co. Wexford at 3.00 pm on Saturday (May 10th)[sat nav coordinate: N52 32.640' W00643.910']

The family would like to extend their enormous gratitude to our loving and constant community of friends and carers who have supported us as Rico journeyed bravely with MND these past five years.

 

We are especially grateful to the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association and the incredible team at Marymount Hospice who treated Rico and us with such love and compassion in his final days.
