And formerly of Cork City. (Peacefully); at Roscommon County Hospital. Beloved husband of Margaret, (pre-deceased by his wife Ann, née Mulhern) and proud father of Belinda and Jacqui. Devoted grand-father to Jenny, Colin, Ciara, Nicola, Katie, Jack and Daragh.  great-grandfather to Maximillan. step father to Sue, Mairead, Aisling, Michael, Fiona and Siobhan. He will be sadly missed by his family, sisters Terry, Betty, and predeceased by Mary; brothers Tommy, Eoin, Gerard, and predeceased by Finbar, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts Vera Murphy and Sr. Anne Dennehy, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Wednesday evening from 5.45 o’c followed by Removal at 7.45 to Fuerty Church. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 12 o’c. Burial afterwards in Athleague Cemetery.
