HALEY (Cooladreen, Leap): On August 31st 2025, unexpectedly. RICHARD beloved husband of Nicola, much loved father of Ryan, Freya, Evie, Dylan, Farran and Blake. Dearly loved grandad (grumpy) to Grace, George, Reid, Emedy and Rua. Lovingly remembered by his wife, children and their partners Regan, Ryan and Aoife, grandchildren, mother-in-law Maria, sister Joanne, brother Jamie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

 

Reposing in Hurley & O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Skibbereen on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 4pm to 5pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 11.30am in the Sacred Heart Church, Rath. This can be viewed here. Funeral afterwards to Sherkin Island Cemetery.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the Paramedics, Rapid Response Team, Air Ambulance Crew and all those who stopped to assist and support them in their time of need, your selfless actions, compassion and dedication will never be forgotten and they will be forever grateful for the care and kindness you gave.

 

Funeral Ferry departs from Baltimore Pier after the Requiem Mass. Ferry will return from Sherkin Island to Baltimore after the burial.

 

Following the burial, friends and family are invited to gather for refreshments at Bushes Bar, Baltimore.

 

Please note – due to roadworks and advice from Cork County Council, the Baltimore Road leaving Skibbereen from the Lidl roundabout will be closed on Monday, September 8th. Traffic heading in the direction of Baltimore will travel on the N71 after the Schull roundabout, take a left at the New Bridge, take a right onto the L4209-2 (River Road), continue on this road and exit at Oldcourt. Route will be sign posted by Cork County Council.
