RICHARD HANLEY

HANLEY (Slieve Mish Park, Kinsale Road, Cork): On January 21, 2026, RICHARD passed peacefully, at the Mercy University Hospital, after a short illness. Beloved son of the late Sean and Breda (née Mintern), loving husband of Geraldine (née Moynihan), cherished father of Marcel (Dunne), Luke, Kaelin and the late Michaela and Erin, devoted grandad of Jack, dear brother of Ann (trusted partner at Sean Hanley Ltd.), Brenda, Veronica, Paul, Margaret and Raymond and loving son-in-law of Margaret and the recently deceased John.

Sadly missed by his loving family, son-in-law Paul, Luke’s partner Andrea, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Turners Cross on Sunday (January 25) from 2pm to 3pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday (January 26) at 11am in Church of the Assumption, Ballyphehane which will be live streamed HERE

Funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.
