Rita Hennessy

Hennessy Rita, (Margaret Carmel), La Verne, Los Angeles, California, USA. Born 20th July 1942 in Rassilagh, Oldcastle, Co. Meath. Rita died peacefully at Trellis Chino nursing facility, California surrounded by friends on 16th of October 2024. Rita was raised and educated in Gorey Co. Wexford. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Christina Hennessy, brother Paul Hennessy of Rassilagh, Co. Meath, her sisters Teresa Burn of Withernsea, Hull, East Yorkshire, England, and Esther Sweeney of Portmarnock, Co. Dublin, and her niece Helen Hennessy-Burn. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Catherine, David, Deirdre, Ciarán and Paul, their respective husbands and wives, and her 9 great nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by her brothers-in-law Ray Burn and Dave Sweeney, her cousins and all her extended and much loved family and wide circle of friends around the world.

May She Rest in Eternal Peace and May Perpetual Light Shine Upon Her.

Rita’s Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, 22nd November, at 11:30am in the Church of St. Brigid and Fiach, Balinacree, Co. Meath, followed by interment of her cremated remains.
