RITA LEAHY
(née Walsh)
RITA LEAHY (née Walsh) Castlemartyr and formerly Ladysbridge. On March 20th 2021, unexpectedly but peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family in the ICU at Cork University Hospital. Beloved wife of Michael, loving mother of Séan, Martin and Margo (Joyce), mother in law of Anne, Dympna and J.J., adoring grandmother of Ciara, Mike, Chloe, Darragh, Jack, Niall, Conor and the late Kate. Fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters. Predeceased by her brother Mattie and her sisters Kathy and Betty. Rita will be sadly missed by her family, brother in law, sister in law, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
In line with continuing guidance and restrictions, Rita’s funeral will take place privately.
Rita’s Requiem Mass can be viewed at 1.30pm on Tuesday March 23rd using this link
Rita’s cortège will pause at her former premises on Main Street, Castlemartyr, on Tuesday at approx 2.45pm, continuing onwards to Ladysbridge for the private burial.
