Rita O'Brien
(née Queally)
Rita O’Brien (née Queally) Gurteenroe, Macroom and previously Kilgobinet, Dungarvan who died peacefully on October 13th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply missed by her children Liam, Caroline, Aidan, Barry and their father Barry, beloved sister of Jim, predeceased by her sister Kathleen and brother Michael. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Éabha, Bobby, Ciara, Annabelle and Alastair, sister-in-law Mary, her son-in-law John and daughters-in-law Caitríona, Maria & Heather, all of the Queally and O’Brien families and her wide circle of friends and neighbours.
Rest in Peace
Reposing in Fitz-Gerald’s Funeral Home, Macroom (P12KX79) on Wednesday from 6pm to 7.30pm followed by Removal to St. Colman’s Church, Macroom (P12VP20). Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12.30 pm which can be viewed live at www.churchservices.tv/macroom followed by Private Cremation. The family would like to thank Doctor Ken Harte, all of the doctors, nurses and carers in CUH, Mercy hospital and Marymount for their exceptional care and kindness shown to Rita during her illness.
