(née Sheehan)

Rita Sheehan (nee Sheehan) (Eskadour, Lauragh, Killarney, Co Kerry and formerly of Gortavallig, Lauragh). On the 24th of April, 2021, in her 93rd year, passed away peacefully in the tender care of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at University Hospital Kerry and in the presence of her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Joe, loving mom of Shaun, Jerry, Frank, James, and Julie (Harrington, Eyeries), adoring grandmother of Francis, Claire, Nigel, Keira, Gavin, Hazel, David, Andrea, Karl, Jason, Lavinia, Greg, Jackie and Ryan, her 28 great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandson. Pre-deceased by her daughter-in-law Mary, brothers Jackie and Michael, great-granddaughter Karly and her great-grandson Caiden. 

Sadly missed and dearly loved by her sons, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandson, sister Sheila, brother Jimmy, son-in-law Michael, daughters-in-law Sheila, Anne and Noreen, sister-in-law Marie, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.

In accordance to H.S.E. guidelines and in the interest of Public Health, a private family funeral will take place for Rita with Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning (April 27th) at 11.00am in St Killian's Church, Lauragh (which will be available to view at 2.00pm on http://www.mycondolences.ie/live-recorded.php,)  followed by burial in Kilmackillogue Cemetery.

Please note; Rita's Funeral Cortège will depart O' Connor's Funeral Home, Kenmare on Sunday evening (April 25th) at 7.00pm to her home in Eskadour. The Funeral Cortège will depart Rita's home on Tuesday morning (April 27th) at 10.30am to St Killian's Church, Lauragh for Requiem Mass at 11.00am.
