Peacefully on Wednesday 23rd February 2022 in the tender care of Sonas Nursing Home. Assumption Road, Athlone and formerly of Cushla, Monksland. Predeceased by her beloved children Paul, Paula, Darren and Lisa, and her brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by her loving husband William, children Maureen, Derek and Robert, sisters Eileen (Egan) and Lil (Browne), son-in-law Kenneth, daughter-in-law Catherine, grandchildren Aoife, Megan, Darren, Tadgh, Alannah, Aaron, Katie and Shauna, nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand on Friday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday in St. Mary's Church at 10-30am followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery.  For those unable to attend or just wish to live stream Rita's Funeral Mass, please click on the link below on Saturday at 10.30am:

Rita's family are very mindful of the risk of spreading Covid-19, and those attending the funeral are respectfully requested to observe social distancing, wear a face covering at all times and avoid shaking hands and hugging.
