Rita Whelan
(née Hyland)
Whelan, Rita (née Hyland) – 13th January 2026, (Kylemore Rd and formerly of Braithwaite St, Dublin 8), Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Connolly Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael (Mick), brother Billio and mother Maureen. Rita will be very sadly missed by her loving son’s Mark, Darren and Michael, daughter Michelle, daughters-in-law, her adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, her loving sisters Patty, Rose, Bernie, Pauline and Mary, brother Christy, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Rita will be reposing at Stafford’s Funeral Home, Ballyfermot on Thursday 15th January from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Friday morning to Our Lady of The Assumption Church, Ballyfermot arriving for 11.15am Funeral Mass followed by a burial at Palmerstown Cemetery.
