Robert (Rob) Thompson

Thompson, Robert (Rob). Tallaght, Dublin 24. 8th January 2026. Suddenly, after a short illness in the wonderful care of the staff in Tallaght Hospital: Predeceased by his beloved mam Rita.

Beloved partner and best friend to Sinead and loving and devoted dad to Evin and his beloved 3-legged cat Peg. Rob will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his heartbroken family, partner, son, dad Stan, brothers Danny and Dave, sisters-in-law, especially Ciara and Jennie, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, particularly the Edwards family and his wide circle of friends.

Rob will be reposing at his brother Dave’s house (Eircode D24 CA36) on Friday (16th January) from 2pm to 8pm. A Service to celebrate Rob’s life will take place on Saturday (17th January) at 1:30pm in the Temple, Newland's Cross Crematorium, followed by cremation.
